Zwischen 2006 und 2010 wurde das Haus des Gartenbaus (Sitz des Gartenbauamts) in der Paul-Feller-Straße für den Bau der Autobahn A281 abgerissen. Im Rahmen des Rückbaus wurde das Gebäude zunächst komplett entkernt, so dass nur noch die nackte Betonkonstruktion für den Abbruchbagger übrig blieb.
